Frequently asked questions

What can I do with these free phone tools?

You can look up international dialing codes, estimate calling rates, check phone number format, see local time for a number, check US toll-free prefixes, clean a phone list, test your mic and speakers, and generate test numbers. Everything runs in your browser.

What is an international dialing code?

It’s the country calling code you add before a local number when dialing from another country. For example, +44 for the UK or +91 for India. Use the Dialing Code Finder to look one up.

What is E.164 phone number format?

E.164 is the standard international format: a + sign, the country calling code, and the national number with no spaces or brackets. Example: +442079460018.

Are these tools free?

Yes. You can use every tool on this page for free without creating an account. If you later place a call through GlobCall, you only pay for the minutes you use. See calling rates.

Can a phone number validator tell me if a number is active?

No. The phone number validator only checks whether the number matches the country’s known numbering rules. It cannot confirm the number is in use or who owns it.

Can I call after I look something up?

Yes. If GlobCall supports the destination, you can open the dialer from your browser and place the call. The person you call does not need an app. They get a normal phone call.

Place a call from your browser
